The Operations Resource Planning department is responsible for carrying out resource planning for cockpit crew and cabin crew, technical operations personnel and ground services personnel in the long, medium and short term. In addition, the department is responsible for carrying out operational change management for crew. We are now looking for a Planning Specialist, Cockpit Crew Planning to strengthen our Cockpit Crew Planning & Training Planning Team in Operations Resource Planning department. Cockpit Crew Planning and Training Planning team is responsible for cockpit crew resource planning up to the publication of duty rosters, including the planning of pairings, rosters, training, and vacations. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out monthly planning process in such way that published rosters fulfill all authority regulations and CLA requirements while also considering other variables affecting rostering (e.g., business requirements, costs, fairness). In addition, you will be responsible for analyzing optimization results for continuously improving rostering quality according to preset KPIs. This is a fixed-term contract starting as soon as possible and lasting until the end of August 2026. Main responsibilities: Pre-planning duty rosters Producing and analysing rotation and duty roster scenarios Planning of in-flight as well as ground training (simulators, external customers etc.) Preparing and testing production optimization Optimising, analysing and publishing production duty rosters Reporting Communications and working on projects together with stakeholders Testing new system versions and development items and reporting on them Our expectations: University degree or other applicable degree Strong experience related to short and mid-term resource planning Strong and fast readiness and capability to independently taking possession of this position Understanding key principles and issues related to planning Familiarity with authority rules, regulations and CLA requirements and ability to implement them in practice Ability to independently solve daily planning issues and make self-contained planning decisions Analytical mindset and skills Ability to convert results into stakeholder reports Ability to work and make decisions under pressure and to follow set deadlines System familiarity with e.g. CMS/Mint Excellent co-operation and communication skills (English and Finnish) This is a versatile position in the core of our operations with opportunities to develop your planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
