We are now looking for a GROWTH MARKETING MANAGER where you will work to expand and execute on our programmatic and social media marketing strategy across multiple channels, testing and analyzing data and identifying trends in order to maximize our paid efforts. You will be part of the growth marketing team which is responsible of Finnair’s always-on activities in programmatic and social media advertising, SEM, marketing automation and marketing technology development. Cross-functional collaboration is critical, both within the team and our broader business (e.g. with Brand and Content, Revenue Management and Digital teams). The Growth Marketing Manager utilizes their previous experience in e.g. advertising agency or inhouse team to leverage their existing relationships with publishers and third-party partners such as Google, Meta and Smartly. This role is a fixed-term parental leave substitute starting in February 2025 and lasting until May 2026. Main responsibilities MEDIA MANAGEMENT Managing all aspects of display, video, and mobile advertising activities including ad-serving, optimization, managing and scaling budgets, as well as business planning Understanding and explaining high-level industry trends Drive insights on the impact of key marketing activities to help optimize channel mix and performance, as well creative output Ability to create floodlight tags and other media tags to support in tracking and optimization of campaigns Researching and testing new channels as part of the channel mix recommendation (for example TikTok, X and Reddit) Doing continuous testing to drive towards marketing and business targets Technical troubleshooting related to different channels, creative assets and tracking Understanding of marketing channels outside of paid, such as SEO and email REPORTING Provide data-driven recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness and inform decision making for future marketing activities Provide information and insights on the performance of the programmatic and social media advertising STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT Ability to share knowledge on paid media channels and full funnel performance with broader team members Mentoring, training and knowledge sharing within the team Key relationships: Other Media Specialists, Marketing Automation Developers and the Digital Sales and Marketing Manager/s Work collaboratively with broader teams: Brand, Content, Data and Digital within Finnair Developing and growing relationships with various third-party stakeholders (from Google partners, intermediary agencies, client-side executives and daily points of contacts) in order to ascertain business needs and add long-term value ADMINISTRATION Take part in development work and projects in various areas related to team processes and different workstreams Lead development work and projects in programmatic and social media advertising, especially related to the post-cookie marketing landscape Complete ad hoc tasks and projects as required in line with business objectives Maintain knowledge on latest industry trends and technology Key competencies & Experience COMPETENCIES Strong problem solver – able to look at situations and solutions from different perspectives Analytical – able to review and understand data Excellent work ethic and attention to detail Builds and maintains relationships Personal accountability and motivation Resilient, resourceful and team oriented Continuous improvement – curious mind to learn more and support the business improving Demonstrates Finnair’s values EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training Have fluent oral and written English language skills Advertising agency or hands-on inhouse marketing experience EXPERIENCE 4+ years of experience in planning, executing and optimizing campaigns across multiple different channels Have multiple years of hands-on experience in programmatic buying (DV360), ad management (CM360) and social media advertising (Meta) Have experience working in digital media or an advertising agency Proven experience working with: Google Analytics 4; Bing; Smartly; Bannerflow and WakeupData Have an understanding of ad servers, DSPs, CDPs, other marketing technologies and overall the complexity of the online landscape Have an analytical way of working and an eye for detail Working at Finnair: We offer you an exciting opportunity to work in the fast-changing aviation and international travel industry in a culture that drives and enables professional development and continuous improvement.
