Technical Operations/Maintenance
Technical Operations includes the maintenance and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.
Job Overview And Responsibilities
The Senior Base Maintenance Material Coordinator of Technical Operations is responsible for the material support for all Base Maintenance events, to include all routine and non-routine material. This position includes additional responsibilities and is a stepping stone to the next level of departmental leadership.
- Develop and enhance dashboards to track and visualize performance metrics
- Design and implement statistical KPIs to evaluate the performance and operational health
- Perform ad-hoc data mining and analysis
- Streamline the inflow of data requirements and ensure timely completion of all dashboard metrics to facilitate seamless releases within fixed timelines.
- Operational meetings and responsibilities
- Daily operations meetings with customer to provide updates to material challenges/concerns
- Daily interaction with leadership, as well as various work groups in many organization
- Daily review of hangar plan to prioritize workload
- Daily communication with customer for all critical material
- Quarterly training modules
- Quarterly goal updates and reviews
- Yearly conference attendance and participation
- Yearly goal management
- Material Management
- Manage all orders in working systems per mx requests to ensure material is delivered to required destination within timeframe requirements & update systems w/ regular status updates until part is received
- Ensure all pre-draw is available prior to induction & manage & communicate any known shortages
- Determine best method in obtaining materials utilizing company inventories & best sourcing practices
- Work with mx & Production Control for any material that is unavailable &/or evaluate alternate options to support material requirements for heavy mx events
- Coordinate purchase of aircraft parts from OEM's & brokers
- Coordinate w/ internal departments as needed
- Train & assist MRO w/ system transactions & other company programs as needed, as well as oversee material management at assigned station
- Additional Responsibilities

- Manage the vacation bid
- Review/analyze station report cards
- Motivating BMC’s for metric items that need attention. i.e. overdue PO, NEA, etc.
- Weekend critical coverage on call duty
- Weekend critical coverage email
- Goal recommendations for BMC’s
- Adding a/c in BMX
- Adding people to MOS
- Share BMC work feedback with leaders
- Responsible for ID central
- Backup for leadership calls
- Supervise at times
- Leadership proxy when noted
- Checklist for critical parts – next set of eyes before raising to leadership – coaching BMC’s

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in Bachelor Degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field or comparable experience
- Microsoft Office proficiency, aviation knowledge
- +5 years experience in fields of the Supply Chain, Airline or Manufacturing Industry
- Comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain Planning and Management
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in at least one of the following SQL/ Python/Pyspark
- Expertise in PowerBI/ Palantir or any visualization tool
- Self-Motivated Engrained Continuous Improvement experience
- Recognizes and understand multiple disciplines within the department
- Identifies enterprise needs across multiple disciplines within the department
- Effectively demonstrates great material knowledge and an understanding of customer needs
- Leverages his or her experiences to help develop and improve team member’s decision-making skills
