ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE TEAM
As Manager Strategy - Airports, you will manage and support the strategies designed to enable the Airports BU to achieve its growth objectives.
Reporting to the VP Strategy - Airports BU, you will also act as an internal consultant to the wider Airports team - driving strategy best practice into day-to-day activities and as the strategy partner to the product teams

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Support the development of annual plus 3-5 years strategy and the transformation plans for the Airports BU, portfolios and products
- Work closely with portfolio teams to support the development of specific annual and strategy plans for their areas of responsibility including channel, & customer segment requirements
- Support the communication of the Airport BU and portfolio strategy internally within the BU and to internal partner departments
- Support the engagement between the Airport portfolios’ teams, and with the wider SITA strategy organizations to
o Align strategic imperatives for the Airports BU portfolio with relevant activities within the wider organisation
o Alignment of Airport strategy with other Business Units
- In conjunction with the Market & Competitive Intelligence team
o Monitor and understand impact of trends (technology, business, industry etc.) on Airport BU and assigned Portfolio and products
o Monitor competitors and support portfolios with the identification and evaluation of potential partners and acquisition targets
- Challenge the entrenched ways of doing things to orchestrate major change toward new revenue streams and business models
- Manage assigned Airports BU strategy projects, including M&A
- Acting as a strategy expert/consultant within the Airports BU to continuously improve the ability of the team to understand key strategy development processes and associated skills required to produce relevant outputs
• Supervising as required virtual teams brought together from within Airports BU or wider SITA to produce specific BU/portfolio strategy papers
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
• Min. 8 years of professional experience, a combination of management consulting or corporate line functions in strategy and strategic planning.
• At least Bachelor's degree level or equivalent in a technical, business or marketing discipline; Master's degree preferred.
• Good knowledge and understanding of technology and related trends and/or commercial and business development experience.
• Experience within the Air Transport Industry.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and resourcefulness with a good understanding of corporate and functional strategies across the Group (technology, commercial, finance, HR, etc.)
• Strong oral and written communication with an excellent ability to crystalize messages for executives
• High attention to detail as well as a big picture, strategic thinking. Serve as a strategic expert/consultant for the Airports BU
• Ability to drive workshop facilitation, thought leadership, recommendations and presentations to board level
• Capability to lead and influence virtual teams within an international environment
