ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior QA Analyst to join our team in Barcelona. As a Senior QA Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software through comprehensive quality assurance methodologies. Your keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively with various functions, such as Engineering & Technology, Product, and other colleagues across the company, will be essential in maintaining our high standards of software excellence.
Reporting to the QA Manager, you will be a part of the Engineering and Technology department responsible for applications that are taking part in the day-to-day aviation operation domain.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Supports the development and quality processes and standards.
- Identify and recommend areas for improvement
- Monitor the progress, identify trends and issues with recommended actions.
- Monitors business/project performance against quality objectives within the software lifecycle
- Assists in the planning and estimation of Quality Assurance support for the business and projects.
- Collaborate with Product Manager and Product Owner to define clear requirements and ensures successful communication of those to the team.
- Aligning the testing responsibilities and expectation with an off shore testing team.
EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the aviation industry, with a focus on OCC (Operations Control Center) operations or similar aviation functions
- University degree or equivalent preferably in Aeronautics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar (or equivalent work experience)
- Deep understanding of aviation operations, flight planning with familiarity with the challenges, constraints, and workflows unique to the aviation industry.
- Exposure to Quality Assurance (QA) environments, including experience with Software testing methodologies, Functional testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Ability to analyze and document issues, with strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Prior involvement in cross-functional team collaboration to understand project requirements, specifications, and user stories
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
- Strong organizational and management skills to act effectively in critical situations
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details, coupled with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot complex issues
- Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and QA tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)
NICE-TO-HAVE
- ISTQB Foundation qualification or recognized country-specific qualifications
- Familiarity with QA tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle
