The Senior Optimisation System Analyst sits within the Network & Scheduling Tools & Systems team
who own the Scheduling & Network Systems, ensuring tools are effective, are used to full potential,
are driven by robust consistent data, and maximise schedule profitability, compliance, robustness
and operational performance.
The wider team’s responsibility is to create & manage the schedule and slots to balance
commercial and operational requirements and deliver schedules that maximise profitability, are
operationally robust and make best use of resources.
This role exists to support the Scheduling team in becoming a world-leader in scheduling expertise
by ensuring continuous improvements through introduction and effective use of the Scheduling
optimisation systems, own the system training of the team and by ensuring output data is used to
drive change across the business. The role reports to the Senior Scheduling & Network Systems
Manager.
What You Will Be Doing
- You will be the central contact within easyJet for all technical and functional aspects of the Scheduling Optimisation Systems (currently Amadeus Skysuite tools).
- Support implementation and embedding of optimisation tools within user teams to perform optimal commercial and operational trade-offs and understanding of key KPIs (e.g. Profitability, On-Time Performance)
- Ensure Scheduling and Operations teams make effective use of tools and realise maximum benefit. Define & deliver training to existing and new team members alongside supplier and internal SMEs (subject matter experts).
- Support the data governance activities regarding the optimisation tools, including ingestion of input and output data and integration with other systems including Sabre Airvision Schedule & Slot Manager.
- Provide technical and functional support to the Scheduling and Operations planning teams for the optimisation tools, acting as system champion. This includes issue management and user assistance.
- Establish and manage the maintenance processes & data for the tools. Coordinate any related activities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuously improve the use of the tools by defining, prioritising and implementing future enhancements. Conceptualise and challenge the supplier on future enhancements to the system.
- Identify and document change requirements to processes. Coordinate visibility and understanding of output data through dashboards or reports.
- Represent easyJet in regards to Scheduling & Optimisation tools at Supplier forums.
- Support ad hoc projects through use of the optimisation tools or analysis of output schedule and reports to understand detailed results and identify improvement actions.
- Work closely with procurement, the Senior Scheduling System Manager and other team members to evaluate or tender for new scheduling or optimisation tools or systems.
What You Will Need To Do This Role
- You will be educated to degree level or equivalent with at least 3 years airline industry experience and knowledge of the easyJet network, airports, routes and bases.
- Knowledge of airline scheduling and relevant operational constraints, such as slots & crew duty rules, route profitability drivers such as passenger demand and operating costs are also essential.
- A proven track record of supporting or implementing IT-Systems or tools, experience in the use of optimisation tools and databases IT systems such as Amadeus Skysuite, Sabre AirVision Schedule & Slot Manager, TOPS, AIMS or similar tools will be advantageous

Location & Hours of Work
This role is full time and hybrid where we spend 60% of our time together as a team at our head office at Luton Airport.
