About the team you are joining
The Assistant Manager,
Safety Risk reports to the Senior Manager, Safety Risk within IATA’s Safety team,
an exciting and dynamic team that drives the delivery of IATA’s safety
strategy. The team works closely with other technical areas and the IATA Operational
Safety Audit program (IOSA) team.
What your day would be like
• Administer IATA’s safety platform, IATA Connect, including site configuration, discussion moderation and the admission of new members, with focus on the Safety Issue Hub and Safety Connect.
• Conduct analysis of maturity assessments and operator data to support the identification of safety issues and provide insights for the IATA Safety Risk Management Framework.
• Support the creation of operator profiles & risk pictures as an input to IATA’s Operational Safety Audit Programme (IOSA).
• Create safety promotional products and online content to raise awareness of safety issues to our members.
• Review and update safety risk team manuals and procedures.
• Maintain IATA’s safety website to ensure we have a visible and engaging presence for IATA members.
• Support IATA Safety Team members, as needed in various tasks and projects.
We would love to hear from you if
- Experience working in an aviation environment or other
safety critical sector, with experience of working within an airline an advantage.
- Experience of analysing aviation safety data and
presenting insights.
- Knowledge of content creation/social media platforms to
support safety promotion.
- Have an appreciation of the risk assessment process as
part of an airline’s safety management system.
- Knowledge of SharePoint Online, with Power BI desirable.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills. Writing
and presentation skills in English are essential.
