About the team you are joining
As a CyberSecurity Intern reporting
to the Manager of Security Operations, you will provide support to the
CyberSecurity Team to improve the cybersecurity risk posture and operational
effectiveness of IATA. You will assist in performing investigations on security
incidents and fraud cases, perform threat hunting, manage existing internal
controls, and monitor security systems.
You will also be assigned one long term project that aligns with your
developing skill set and the needs of the organization.
What your day would be like
You will be responsible for:
- Resolving escalated security events from the Security Operation Center and other internal teams;
- Investigating potential threats based on SIEM data including hunting for new threats;
- Performing analysis of phishing and potential fraud incidents, both internal and external to IATA;
- Updating IATA's list of fraudulent emails & websites at https://www.iata.org/en/youandiata/fraudulent-emails-websites/ ;
- Sharing information about new cybersecurity threats to internal and external partners;
- Running internal phishing simulations and tracking security awareness education;
- Manage and deliver a project end-to-end (to be agreed upon);
- Perform additional duties as required.
We would love to hear from you if
- Recent University Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (within one year of graduation);
- Have graduated within the last 12 months
- Strong interest in IT and CyberSecurity;
- Strong interest in computer software and scripting (Python, etc);
- Strong attention to details;
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001:2022;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows computing environment (AD, ADFS,
- Windows hardening...), Linux;
- Knowledge of cloud computing (Amazon AWS, virtualization, containers, functions)
- Knowledge of enterprise networking;
- Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills in a global environment;
- Excellent oral and written English, knowledge of another language is an asset;
- Interest in the Aviation Industry.
