Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety management processes and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct safety assessments (e.g. functional hazard, failure mode and effect analysis, et cetera) and provide risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and collaborate with teams and partners to integrate safety into system design and operations.
- Perform safety audits, analyze incident reports, and improve safety practices.
- Prepare and present safety-related subjects (e.g. safety case reports) to various audiences.
- Engage in projects, contribute expertise, and represent the organization in safety-related meetings.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
- University studies of at least 4 years in a relevant domain (e.g. engineering, human factors).
- In addition, minimum 4 year(s) of relevant working experience as safety/quality engineer.
- Experience in safety management or safety engineering roles within safety-critical environments (preferably aviation).
- Experience in software assurance activities, with an associated experience in the aviation domain, in particular effective implementation or audit linked to ed109A and/or ed153 standards.
- Knowledge of safety management systems (SMS), safety analysis techniques and risk assessment methodologies, a good understanding of Eurocontrol ESSAR methodology is a plus.
- Understanding of relevant EU and EASA-related regulation would be an asset.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional and multinational teams.
