About The Role & Team
Our OptiFlight solution will be a key pillar in SITA’s contribution to a greener, more sustainable aviation through the enablement of flight and air traffic optimization.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of OptiOps team, the Customer Applications Support (QAR) team is overall responsible for the following key activities:
- Facilitate QAR flow.
- Support in the configuration of QAR data decoder for new integrations.
- Monitor and manage the quality of decoding.
- Continuously Review and improve the overall process flow.
You will learn from an experienced QAR engineers and also interact with the various functions within SITA FOR AIRCRAFT such as Engineering & Technology, Product, and other colleagues across the company, located in 20+ countries (Canada, United-States, France, Switzerland, Germany, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Spain...).
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in flight data management and optimization through various responsibilities, including:
- Assisting in configuring QAR decoders to integrate new aircraft and aircraft types into the SFA (SITA for Aircraft) library.
- Supporting the configuration and maintenance of data flows to ensure seamless data acquisition and processing.
- Contributing to the monitoring and validation of data quality by analyzing logs and error files to detect and resolve issues.
- Collaborating with the team to troubleshoot data-related problems, optimize decoding processes, and enhance overall system performance.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance the effectiveness of QAR data integration and processing.
This role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with experts and teams across different functions, deepening your understanding of flight data analysis
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Degree in Aeronautical Engineering with good knowledge of flight data analysis.
- Good understanding of the aeronautical domain.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in fight data analysis, FOQA or safety related role (SMS).
- Knowledge regarding aircraft flight data acquisition system and sensors.
- Understanding of aircraft parameters.
- Practical experience working with Python and Linux environments.
- Git common knowledge.
- Proactive with good communication skills.
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Bash programming
- Flight data decoding skills (ARINC717 & ARINC767)
- Knowledge of Rancher (Kubernetes management tool)
