Job Purpose
The Cargo Operations and Load Planner is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and optimization of daily cargo operations across the network. This position focuses on delivering precise and efficient processes to support business growth and achieve operational excellence.
Key Result Responsibilities
- Plan daily loads for all cargo types (general, courier, special, and interline) by meticulously analyzing passenger loads, pre-booked baggage, and available aircraft capacity. This is achieved utilizing the airline's Passenger Service System (PSS) and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
- Prepare and release detailed cargo load plans to Ground Handling Agents (GHAs). Ensure strict adherence to all cargo parameters, including commodity type, Special Handling Codes (SHCs), volume, priority, and customer profiles.
- Ensure optimal utilization of aircraft belly space to maximize cargo revenue while strictly maintaining safety standards and regulatory guidelines
- Plan and coordinate the intra-country E trucking requirements as assigned to effectively support corporate customer cargo and courier commitments.
- Coordinate with neighboring airports and airlines for trucking movements, reconnections, or schedule adjustments as needed.
- Manage day-to-day Air Arabia Courier bookings within the system.
- Oversee Interline cargo bookings, ensuring accurate data entry and space confirmation in line with partner agreements.
- Action critical system changes, including cargo reservations, weight amendments, HS code updates, and Air Waybill (AWB) corrections.
- Ensure all Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) messages (e.g., FFM, FWB, FHL) are accurately transmitted and received on time, in full compliance with regulatory and airline requirements.
- Monitor and proactively plan recovery strategies for offloaded shipments, ensuring priority handling and timely coordination with GHAs and relevant stations.
- Highlight backlog shipments to pertinent stations and shippers, coordinating effective recovery plans.
- Monitor and follow up on flights not finalized in the system to prevent data discrepancies and avoid potential fines from aviation authorities.
- Maintain detailed discrepancy logs and initiate prompt corrective measures to prevent recurrence of operational issues.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field will be an advantage.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in essential Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email communication platforms.
- Strong analytical and planning capabilities

- Ability to work effectively under pressure and Capacity to multitask efficiently
- Ability to thrive in a 24X7 operational environment, including shift-based work schedules
- Fluent in English Language (written & verbal).
Work Experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in air cargo operations, specifically in areas such as load planning, Ground Handling Agent (GHA) coordination, or managing cargo systems.
- Certification in Air Cargo operations.
- Certification in Load Planning, Certification in Dangerous Goods regulations.
