Brief about the Role / Team / Candidate Requirement
This role is responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operational planning with a strong focus on maintaining On‑Time Performance (OTP) across the IndiGo network. The position requires close coordination with multiple internal stakeholders—including Commercial, Engineering, AOCS, Network Planning, and Sales—to ensure schedule integrity, timely routing changes, charter planning, cargo freighter operations, and wet lease management.
The ideal candidate should be detail‑oriented, proactive, and capable of working in a fast‑paced, dynamic operational environment.
Qualification & Experience
- Graduate/ Postgraduate in Aviation Management, Operations, or related field
- Prior experience in airline operations, schedule planning, network operations, or related operational control functions preferred
- Hands‑on experience with systems such as AIMS & JOC (preferred)
Skill Set
- Strong understanding of airline operational processes and schedule planning
- Proficiency in coordination across cross‑functional teams
- Analytical ability to track, identify and highlight schedule disruptions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
- Ability to work under pressure during operational irregularities
- Knowledge of slot adherence norms, NOTAM interpretation, and routing constraints

Job Responsibilities
- Ensure maintenance of On‑Time Performance (OTP) across the IndiGo network by coordinating routing changes with Commercial, Engineering, and AOCS, especially during seasonal planning and FOG periods.
- Maintain schedule integrity and prevent aircraft base mismatches during irregular operations while ensuring commercial viability.
- Track critical flights impacting OTP due to excess/short timings, NOTAMs, or rotational constraints, and share timely updates with the Network Planning Team for schedule amendments.
- Manage end‑to‑end planning and closure of all charter requests; closely coordinate with Sales, Network Planning, Slots Team, Flight Ops Support, and AOCS for seamless execution.
- Ensure all forthcoming charter schedules are updated accurately in AIMS & JOC and aligned with all stakeholders.
- Handle cargo freighter schedule planning and execution from start to closure.
- Supervise tasks performed by subordinates, including database updates, contact details management, and operational documentation.
- Manage wet lease operations by coordinating with the wet lease partner to ensure smooth functioning.
- Review existing processes and recommend improvements based on case studies and operational learnings.
- Conduct rigorous flight monitoring for critical stations to ensure slot adherence and avoid penalties.
