Role Introduction
Reports to: Digital & IT Governance Resources Manager

This role focuses on planning, performance improvement, and delivering analytical insights to support strategic decision-making within the IT department.
As a Senior Digital and IT Planning Analyst, you will play a key role in managing departmental budgets, optimizing resources, and ensuring governance standards are met. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance productivity, contributing to the overall success of IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare digital and IT performance updates and provide analytical insights to senior management
- Resolve resource, timing, financial and sequencing conflicts across multiple projects and teams
- Lead organisational and departmental performance improvement activities
- Develop and manage budgets and drive departmental budgeting and forecasting processes
- Monitor cost performance of digital and IT enhancement projects and assess BAU cost impacts
- Provide enterprise‑level visibility of departmental cost, resource consumption and space utilisation
- Support vendor invoicing, contractor onboarding/offboarding and contractor hiring processes
- Manage a portfolio or programme of digital and IT projects and ensure adherence to governance standards
- Act as escalation point and oversee audits and reviews to ensure compliance with governance standards
- Lead, coach and mentor Digital and IT Planning Analysts, Specialists and project management team members
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting or other analytical discipline
- Minimum 6 years of experience with at least 4 years in a related role
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Good business acumen in business planning, cost/resource management and strategy implementation
- Strong numerical abilities with the capability to interpret data insights; project accounting experience preferred
- Strong teamwork, facilitation and negotiation skills
- Good communication and relationship management skills
