Overview & Key Responsibilities
Delta is looking for a communications professional with experience and expertise in business communications, corporate and financial affairs, media relations, storytelling, content creation, reputation management and executive communications to support the goals and priorities of Delta Global Communications. This person will report to the General Manager – Financial Communications, and will work within the Corporate & Executive Communications team to elevate Delta’s brand and reputation and reach key internal and external audiences to achieve business outcomes. The Senior Manager also will work with partners and stakeholders across Global Communications and Delta.
Responsibilities Include
- Support the General Manager on major milestones including quarterly earnings reports and investor conferences; as well as fleet strategy and M&A announcements.
- Supporting content strategy and speaker management for Delta’s annual, two-day leadership conference.
- Developing and providing ongoing communications support for key internal documents including Delta’s Flight Plan, an annual summary of company goals and priorities; and Corporate Themes, which present the company’s key narratives.
- Assist in planning executive communications for the Chief Financial Officer and other senior executives.
- Develop and maintain a communications strategy for major corporate awards.
- Provide support and assistance to Global Communications initiatives for internal and external audiences.
- Participate in crisis communications planning and preparedness.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of communications or marketing.
- Experience in executive communications and support at the C-suite level, with strong executive presence, is recommended.
- Exposure to and experience with corporate financial reporting processes and practices. Knowledge of aviation topics and the industry landscape is highly recommended.
- Expertise in developing thought leadership strategies and content for leaders internally and externally.
- Best-in-class writing and editing skills.
- Ability to work quickly under deadline pressure.
- Ability to navigate a highly-matrixed, complex organization, develop strong peer relationships and challenge the status quo while driving alignment.
- Demonstrate creativity, innovation and industry knowledge in every assignment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Experience managing third-party contractors or vendors.
- Strong organizational skills with a quality and results-oriented approach.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
