Senior Officer, Finance, Human Capital & Admin
Report to
Manager, Station Accounting
Position Summary
The role is responsible for overseeing finance operations and administrative support at the station. This includes accounting and financial management, vendor and stakeholder coordination, compliance, audits, taxation, and Human Capital support. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, effective cash management, and close coordination with Head Office and local stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
Accounting & Financial Management
- Perform day-to-day finance transactions, ensuring accurate and timely recording of accounting entries across Order-to-Cash (OTC), Procure-to-Pay (PTP), and Record-to-Report (RTR) processes.
- Maintain accounting records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, payroll coordination, tax payments, and statutory submissions.
- Verify vendor and staff payments in accordance with contractual terms and local employment regulations prior to processing.
- Ensure sales collections are properly recorded and deposited into company bank accounts.
- Monitor cash flow, prepare required reports, and ensure sufficient liquidity to support station operations
- Support budget control and expenditure monitoring in coordination with Business Unit Heads and Head Office.
- Manage cash floats, bank guarantees, and repatriation of surplus funds where required.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and local statutory requirements.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with vendors, banks, local authorities, consultants, customers, and Head Office on finance-related matters.
- Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Attend industry and stakeholder meetings (e.g., IATA, CASS, BSP) as required.
Compliance, Audits & Taxation
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Prepare statutory accounts and ensure timely regulatory submissions.
- Prepare and monitor GST/VAT, withholding tax, corporate tax, staff tax, and other local tax filings in coordination with tax consultants and Head Office.
Human Capital & Administrative Support
- Provide administrative and Human Capital support including payroll coordination, pension fund matters, staff insurance, and pre-employment documentation.
- Support local staff record maintenance in compliance with employment regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, commercial, and airport services, to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Areas of Experience
- Experience in accounting and financial operations, including exposure to OTC, PTP, and RTR processes.
- Aviation industry knowledge is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, ERP systems, or other accounting software is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
