Responsibilities
• Set-up and perform laboratory tests, document results, and write reports.
• Create and maintain LabView and PLC programs
• Use Automation and controls to improve test procedures.
• Use computer programs to control and monitor laboratory data acquisition systems
• Support Data Center, Supermarket, and HVAC systems testing.
• Support UL and PED compliance testing and participate in audits.
• Perform testing on electronic valves and controller product line.
• Handle refrigerant to properly charge/reclaim pressurized vessels.
• Support 3D printing activities.
• Solder or braze copper and brass components.
• Participate in safety and 5S activities in the lab.
• Provide technical support to engineering team.
Qualifications
• This position requires an associate degree in Automation & Control technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Facilities Operations & Management, HVACR, or Computer Application Development, or applicable experience.
• Ability to use a Multi Meter to troubleshoot control processes
• Good communication, organization, and computer skills, including MS Word and Excel are required.
• Previous experience working with laboratory equipment would be beneficial.
• Previous experience in working with compliance and industry standards would be beneficial.
• Experience with soldering and brazing of copper and brass components would be beneficial.
• Must be highly motivated, dependable, and able to function in an independent role.
• Must have the capability and willingness to prioritize own work, coordinate multiple tasks, and take ownership of job responsibilities.
