We are recruiting a
Category Manager for Airports & Operations Procurement within our Strategic Procurement team. In this role, you will drive cost efficiency, strengthen strategic supplier relationships, and contribute to our airport and operations strategy.
You will work closely with colleagues across Operations, Network, Finance, and other business areas, and
can be based in Fornebu, Riga, or Barcelona. The roles report to the Director Airports & Ground Operations Procurement.

In This Role You Will Be Responsible For
- Delivering cost reductions and improving cost predictability across Airports & Operations through strategic and tactical sourcing.
- Managing a portfolio of airport-related vendors, including airport charges, incentives, ground handling, cargo handling.
- Leading the full sourcing lifecycle — market assessment, tendering, negotiation, contracting, and implementation.
- Ensuring full compliance with Procurement governance, processes, and company policies.
- Building strong supplier relationships, understanding operational/commercial needs, and negotiating effectively at all levels.
- Supporting and contributing to the Airports & Operations category strategy and overall procurement planning.
- Working closely with Finance to monitor spend, support budgeting and forecasting, and address cost variances.
- Driving collaboration across Operations, Network, Finance, and other teams to improve processes and strengthen cross-functional ways of working.
- Supporting the company’s sustainability goals by embedding ESG considerations into sourcing activities.
- Leading or participating in cross-functional projects and promoting procurement best practice across the organisation.
- Mentoring or guiding junior or operational procurement staff where required.
You Are Our Ideal Candidate If
- Bring strong negotiation skills, commercial acumen and a strategic mindset.
- Have proven experience managing high-value, complex sourcing projects (minimum 5 years), ideally in aviation, airports, or operations procurement.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and stay organised in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
- Communicate clearly, collaborate well, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.
- Hold higher education (BSc/BA or similar) and have strong numerical/analytical abilities.
- Are proficient in English (spoken and written) and comfortable using IT systems, including Excel.
- Have experience in international business environments or working across multiple locations (preferred).
