At Astronics LSI, we’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who’s ready to help optimize and evolve our production processes. In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, from planning and design to procurement and operations, to improve manufacturing methods, maximize efficiency, and help bring innovative products to life.
This position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in manufacturing engineering who is eager to grow their skills in a hands-on, fast-paced environment supporting complex electromechanical systems.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods and workflows
- Collaborate on equipment layout and workspace design for optimal efficiency
- Work with planning, design, and tooling teams to streamline production processes
- Analyze production times, staffing needs, and cost estimates to support business decisions
- Consult with vendors to ensure products meet quality standards and specs
- Apply statistical tools to forecast manufacturing capacity and identify opportunities
- Contribute to internal audit documentation and SOX compliance (as needed)
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- 1–3 years of relevant manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of electromechanical systems, machining, electronics, and painting processes
- Bonus points for experience with photometric equipment, chemical processing/formulations
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office required)
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and process documentation

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $65,000 - $75,000, influenced by several factors including experience, skill set, education, certifications, market conditions, and business needs.
