Johnson Service Group, a nationally award-winning staffing firm, has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Accountant for a Global Medical Device Company in El Segundo, CA
Contract | Hybrid|Â $110 - $135 per hourÂ
Summary
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, and accounting process improvement initiatives. This role will help strengthen internal controls, improve shared service processes, and partner with business teams to streamline accounting workflows.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies
- Review journal entries and reconciliations prepared by staff
- Prepare financial analysis and reporting for management
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls
- Lead accounting projects including planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Create training documentation for onboarding and cross-training
- Support SAP S/4HANA upgrade testing
- Partner with internal teams and external auditors as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- 2+ years public accounting experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to meet deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred
- Experience with SAP
- Audit experience
- Tableau experience
- Exposure to AI tools or automation technologies
