The Qantas SME team, part of Global Sales & Distribution, drives growth in the dynamic small and medium enterprise segment through innovative product solutions. With a strong focus on the customer, the team delivers value for SME business travellers via the Qantas Business Rewards program and ensuring a best-in-class booking and travel experience.
As
Manager SME Customer Strategy & Performance, you will own the strategic design and evolution of Qantas’ SME product suite and customer value proposition, ensuring it remains class-leading in a highly competitive environment. Drawing on customer insight, market trends and competitive intelligence, you will identify and prioritise opportunities that strengthen the SME proposition, setting clear strategic direction and commercial requirements. You will lead end‑to‑end execution in partnership with teams across Digital, Sales & Distribution, Loyalty, Revenue Management and Technology to deliver high‑impact initiatives.
You will be accountable for the performance and ongoing health of a large SME product portfolio, defining success measures and tracking outcomes across revenue, share and customer impact. With strong stakeholder influence, you will align cross‑functional priorities, drive consensus and ensure initiatives move seamlessly from strategy through to delivery. Leading a direct report who provides analytical and performance insight, you will enable informed decision‑making and continuous optimisation of the SME proposition.
You’ll have –
- 8+ years’ experience in commercial, strategy or performance‑focused roles.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Economics or a related field.
- Strong commercial acumen, balancing strategic, financial and technical considerations.
- Proven stakeholder influence across complex, matrixed environments.
- Advanced analytical capability, translating data into clear business decisions.
- Demonstrated people leadership, building and developing high‑performing teams.
- Experience in revenue management, sales or performance analytics, ideally within aviation or travel.
- Product ownership experience, delivering customer‑led, commercially effective propositions across multiple channels.
