Job Narrative
The Line Logistics Lead Supply Attendant is a critical TechOps role at Delta. In this role, you will serve as a leader of the team that helps maintain the proper storage and logistics support of Delta’s aircraft parts inventory in airport operations. This inventory is utilized in local maintenance support, or it can be routed to inventory locations and positioned all over the world. Line Logistic Lead Supply Attendants in the Distribution & Logistics classification can work independently or lead a team to accomplish tasks, and practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
The Line Logistics Lead Supply Attendant is a position where you are leading live operations of line logistic supply attendants to help support maintenance aircraft health and inventory health of your material location. Operational norms are leading a team that is working in the elements and driving on the ramp with moving aircraft. A significant portion of the role is computer related functions and systems while working inside a specialized warehouse setup. You will have many opportunities to work with and learn from experienced logistics professionals, aircraft mechanics, and a variety of TechOps Support personnel that support the operation. Under their mentorship, you will develop key knowledge and skills that will help prepare you to advance your career at Delta Air Lines.
Summary Of Responsibilities
Safety and Compliance Activities
- Leads and supports the team’s ability to perform all work activities in accordance with established laws, regulations, standards, safety protocols, and procedures to ensure safety of self and others.Leads and supports the team’s ability to perform inventory cycle counts and regulatory compliance audits in accordance with requirements set forth by Delta, the FAA, EPA, DOT, and other civil aviation authorities.
- Leads and supports the team’s ability to performs general cleaning activities to ensure area is clean and safe, and to ensure equipment, parts, or tools maintain good working order.
- Leads or investigates any safety or compliance opportunities.
- Ensuring all team members are educated and supported to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and properly displays badging when performing work activities, as required.
- Responsible for coaching team in the foundational importance of safety and compliance as it relates to airport operations.
Warehousing and Distribution
- Leads by coaching and developing a team to ensure proper binning, issuing, shipping, and receiving of aircraft parts, chemicals including IATA regulated dangerous goods, and other material used in support of Delta’s global operation.
- Leads by coaching and developing a team to ensure safe operation of motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment such as but not limited to forklifts, platform stock pickers, pallet jacks, etc.
- Leads by coaching and developing a team to ensure proper packaging and preservation of materials in accordance with requirements set forth by Delta, the FAA, EPA, DOT, and other civil aviation authorities.
Customer Service to Maintenance Business Partners
- Support our business partners in maintenance with the same level of world class customer service that Delta provides our passengers.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, a professional attitude, and excellent dependability.
- Search for solutions to operational problems and make quality decisions.
- Interact with a globally diverse group of colleagues.
Computer Skills And Accurate Data Entry
- Requires strong computer skills and comfort with navigating multiple software applications such as Microsoft Office, SAP, and other airline specific programs, as well as technology platforms such as RFID scanners.
- Must complete training to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
- Keeps up to date on technology and knowledge related to the job to broaden skills.
Transportation and Operational Understanding
- Must manage the daily operation to ensure delivery and retrieval of aircraft parts to airport gates and other maintenance locations.
- High focus on supporting AOS/SOS aircraft.
- Daily set-up of RON/RAD full kitting.
- Must manage the operation and lead the team that utilizes ground support equipment (GSE) or other motorized vehicles, as needed, to complete work activities, including but not limited to sprinter vans, service trucks, tow tractors, and box trucks near moving aircraft on the ground.
- Must lead the team that is performs work activities in the elements, which can include rain, sleet, snow, and extreme heat/cold.
Work Planning and Coordination
- Must lead the team and manage the operation to ensure all required work activities are completed in a timely manner.
- Coordinates with team members and works together to accomplish work activities and meet shift goals.
- Leads or participates in meetings to receive or provide updates on assigned activities, to transition tasks between shifts, and to receive any other work-related information and updates.
- Leads operation and assists others to ensure timely completion of work activities, as needed.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Must satisfactorily complete tests which are structured to determine ability to accomplish the essential functions of the job and the ability to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to read and write English and have a working knowledge of personal computers.
- Should possess the ability to meet deadlines with high productivity and accuracy.
- Must be a team player with focus on customer service.
- Must be able to work well with others
- Must be able to work in a safe manner and be able to lift up to 80 pounds, utilizing proper equipment or assistance.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
- (If transferring internally) Must be currently performing satisfactorily in present position.

- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
