Delta Flight Operations is seeking a Program Leader to join the EFB (Pilot iPad) Software Team, driving delivery, reliability, and operational excellence for the digital tools used by every Delta pilot on every flight. You’ll help lead and shape a seamless, intuitive, and reliable flight deck experience by guiding software releases, driving cross-functional alignment, and championing improvements that pilots feel immediately. - Own and advance multiple high‑impact EFB initiatives, ensuring updates, releases, and app enhancements ship seamlessly and land without operational disruption.
- Responsible for recurring testing and validation process across stakeholder groups.
- Translate pilot and operational needs into actionable product requirements, collaborating closely with pilots, Flight Ops SMEs, technology partners, and leaders.
- Guide and enhance the EFB Training Program, including development of pilot training modules and other associated training content.
- Drive cross‑divisional coordination to keep the EFB ecosystem stable, intuitive, and aligned with FAA, safety, and operational requirements.
- Maintain structured program feedback loops, partnering with divisional stakeholders to capture insights and close performance gaps.
- Craft pilot‑facing communications, support business continuity planning, and guide updates to policies and procedures.
- Create and own app roadmaps and user experience alongside pilots, validating user value and advocating for a world‑class flight deck toolset.
- Contribute to long‑term EFB strategy, identifying opportunities, analyzing operational data and feedback, and championing improvements.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management, Business, or equivalent work experience.
- Product ownership, program management, or user‑focused delivery experience.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and operational information concisely to stakeholders at all levels, including ability to prepare executive updates and presentations.
- A strategic thinker who can also execute with precision in a fast‑moving operational environment.
- Strong collaboration and relationship‑building skills, with the confidence to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and advocate for the best outcome.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting ideas to mixed technical and operational audiences.
- Demonstrated performance in current role and consistent practice of safety‑conscious behaviors.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Background in aviation technology or other operationally critical digital systems.
- Experience working in Agile environments and using tools such as Digital.ai Agility and Aha!.
- Familiarity with iOS development concepts and the Apple ecosystem.
- Knowledge of VMware AirWatch MDM or enterprise mobility management platforms.
- A passion for aviation and an interest in building tools that directly impact pilot experience and flight operations.
