Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years experience of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
Job Description
Sources, negotiates and purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization. Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Monitors performance of suppliers. Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Evaluates areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions. Tracks data to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. May prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
Desired Skills
Familiar with Systems, Applications and Processes (SAP); knowledge of Aerocode and LMAP; experience with Advanced Development Program (ADP), F16 and C130 programs are preferred.
Works independently and in a collaborative team-based environment
Experience with multi-tasking and managing competing priorities
Experience with analyzing problems and recommending solutions
Familiar with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS)
Demonstrated sense of urgency, self-motivated
Learning subcontract management skills/practices
Experience with negotiations
Ability to make business-based decisions
Procurement experience within aerospace technologies or a similar industry
Written and verbal communication and organization skills

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
