If so, we invite you to join our deSter European Foodservice team! We are seeking an Account Manager who will not only manage and develop our valued accounts, but also play a key role in coordinating and driving internal processes to support our Business Development team’s ambitious growth goals.
With us you will have the unique opportunity to achieve ambitious goals, while enjoying a balanced mix between managing accounts and implementing new business. As an example, you will be in contact with large foodservice brands and international beverage labels. But also, with the organizers of large festivals and mega sports events.
Your activities in a nutshell: Manage key account activities, coordinating internal processes, and actively collaborate with the Business Development, Customer Support, Business Support, deStudio, and the Sustainability department.
Main responsibilities
Support and follow up on commercial offers, facilitating sample and presentation requests.
Assist in the introduction process both internally and externally.
Assist in customer visits and follow up on actionable items from visit reports
Regularly report account KPIs to the Business Development team.
Prepare and manage BRM (Business Review Meeting) documentation and file creation.
Review customer profitability and contract execution, taking necessary actions where required.
Motivate and inspire internal stakeholders to continuously improve, aiming for customer-centric solutions.
Coordinate new requests with the deStudio team and Business Support.
Assemble and complete all required documents during the quotation/tender process.
Coordinate communication regarding forecast and demand requirements with relevant departments, such as Customer Support for introductions.
Handle the execution of small sales quotes.
Support contract management by preparing input for new contracts and following up on existing contracts, including periodic price reviews and bonuses.
Requirements
Education:
Successfully completed secondary school education and / or preferably a college degree in Finance, Marketing or Communication.
Work Experience:
Min. 2-3 years’ work experience in a commercial back-office function
Proven customer account management
Solid financial insight is required
Project Management experience
Personal Skills:
Ability to align account management activities with broader business goals.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting, coordinating with internal teams, and managing customer expectations.
Skilled in building relationships and inspiring internal stakeholders.
Ability to quickly assess situations, identify issues, and implement solutions, especially in reviewing customer profitability and contract execution.
Highly organized with attention to detail, ensuring all required documents, contracts, and communication are accurate and well-managed.
Effective in coordinating tasks across different departments and stakeholders.
Customer-Centric Mindset
Commercially minded - Ability to understand and develop financial and pricing models and business cases.
Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)
Literacy in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365:
High proficiency in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint,
ERP systems like Triton, Magic, SAP
Language / Communication Skills:
Fluency in both English and Dutch, with German or French being an advantage
