Synopsis
Manage and develop new business solutions and maintain compliance on systems and tools utilized by Crew Resources and Network Operations Control and Fleet Operations.
Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain customization/configuration, such as Rave and Python code. Provide expert recommendations in complex parameter settings on Jeppesen system for handling various scenarios thereby to achieve the desired results.
- Working closely with the Crew Planners, Crew Services and Ops teams to refine system set-up to adapt Rostering, Pairing, Crewing and ops system to business changes.
- Ensure system documentation is available for all parties involved and up to date including end users’ manuals, administration manuals and system/architecture documents. Ensure any change in the system design or functionalities are properly documented.
- Provide periodic update to the end users and stakeholders on system performance. Properly assess the severity of the problems reported and ensure engagement with the vendors as required for solutions.
- Manage the processes for testing and upgrading the supported systems in a coordinated and controlled manner. Coordinate with EY IT to ensure upgrades occur in timely and effective manner and systems environment and their components are configured and working correctly.
- Proactively manage the level of expectation of internal stakeholders in relation to the benefits of the supported systems. Ensure that risks are evaluated and communicated to appropriated parties.
- Have strong understanding of business process and procedures to enhance end-user experience of these operations systems.
Education & Experience
• Post-secondary education (ie. Diploma, degree and/or courses in related field or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience on systems within Airline operations. including at least 3 years working as Technical Support (either in airlines and / or as a vendor).
