Under the supervision of the General Manager of Executive, Employee & Event Security, the Senior Manager is responsible for leading their team to build a program that is focused on two priorities: 1) Large scale event security planning. 2) Executive Protection (EP) for employees, executive leaders, employees at risk, and Delta guests as required.
Will be responsible for creating standard operating procedures to ensure consistent application of defined, scalable processes for developing comprehensive security plans to ensure risks are identified and mitigated related to Delta hosted events. This will include in depth venue risk assessments, partnering with other Fortune 500 company security leaders, law enforcement, government officials, venue security leaders as well as Delta leaders to ensure the plan enhances Delta’s goals and objectives for each event.
Required to work closely with the Manager of EP, who is responsible for protecting the CEO.
Will be responsible for creating and managing new KPIs, budget, initial and recurrent training for EP staff members, table-top-exercises, after-action reports, and coordination with industry peers to identify best practices to be implemented at Delta.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Develop, establish, and implement policies designed to secure Delta sponsored events.
- Lead direct reports who support all duties related to their programs.
- Lead all strategies, tactics, and innovation for their programs.
- Lead the selection, implementation, and integration of new technologies.
- Drive the development and delivery of process and performance improvements.
- Drive the inclusion of Executive, Employee and Event Security programs’ policies, procedures, and security risk mitigation strategy into the business operation.
- Regular interaction with C-suite and executive staff regarding security-related issues.
- Develop and manage an annual budget.
- Manage third-party vendors and provide guidance and direction on behalf of Corporate Security as deemed necessary.
- Manage the bidding, awarding, and implementation of multi-service security contracts.
- Lead and manage cross-functional initiatives with multiple key stakeholders.
- Leverage relationships with Delta leaders to influence business decisions and build a security-first mindset.
- Develop and drive relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to promote Delta policy objectives and lead proactive security risk mitigation.
- Drives all aspects of the corporate-level executive protection drills, training and certifications.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for event security planning and executive protection.
- Respond immediately to security issues, even when outside of normal business hours.
- Maintain rigid confidentiality surrounding security strategies, tools/techniques, and current or prior investigations.
- Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Experience Required

- BA or BS degree or a minimum of 10 years’ management experience in physical security/facility protection, executive protection or event security planning.
- Key qualifications include:

- Experience developing training curriculum.
