The Role:
We are seeking a senior, business-oriented Head of Legal, FL Technics Indonesia to lead the legal function of our Indonesian operations. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring that legal strategy, risk management, and governance effectively support business growth in a dynamic and highly regulated environment.
The position requires a leader who combines strong legal expertise with commercial acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to operate as a trusted adviser to senior management.
The role reports to the CEO.
Your Impact:
- Act as the principal legal adviser to the Indonesian business, supporting strategic and operational decision-making
- Lead and develop the local legal function, ensuring high standards of delivery, accountability, and business alignment
- Enable business growth by providing pragmatic, solution-oriented legal guidance
- Strengthen governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks in line with Group standards
- Ensure legal risks are clearly understood, appropriately managed, and proportionate to business objectives
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all legal matters of the Indonesian business across commercial, corporate, employment, compliance, and dispute-related areas
- Provide clear, concise, and commercially sound advice to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Oversee drafting, negotiation, and execution of key commercial agreements
- Ensure effective corporate governance and legal compliance at entity level
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks
- Monitor and interpret local regulatory developments and translate them into actionable business guidance
- Lead, coach, and develop the local legal team, building a high-performing and engaged function
- Collaborate closely with Group Legal on strategic, high-risk, or complex matters
- Manage external counsel efficiently, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness
- Drive improvements in legal processes, reporting, and overall legal operations
What We Are Looking For:
- Law degree (LL.B. or equivalent) from a recognized university
- Qualified to practice law in Indonesiaor eligibility to obtain such qualification
- Strong experience in Indonesian law (in-house and/or private practice)
- Proven track record in commercial and corporate legal advisory, including contract negotiation and risk management
- Experience working with senior leadership in a fast-paced, international environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
- Strong communication skills in English
- High level of integrity, ownership, and professional judgment
