Vista America operates the Vista Members’ fleet in the U.S. for VistaJet and XO clients. It is composed of renowned brands including Jet Select, Western Air Charter, XOJET Aviation, and Red Wing Aviation.
The Financial Accountant’s responsibilities include preparing and maintaining accurate financials, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, and contributing to the efficient financial management of aircraft operations. You will assist in the preparation of financial reconciliations and statements, support audits, and assist in the close process and analysis for aviation-related results. You will report to the Accounting Manager in the Finance Department.
A typical work schedule would be Monday through Friday. This position is onsite in Columbus, Ohio.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, bank transactions, prepaid schedules, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash and credit card account reconciliations, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other regulatory reports as required.
- Analyze and explain variances in financial performance against budget and prior periods, highlighting key trends and insights.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance controls and systems, and improve financial reporting efficiency.
Required Skills and Experience:
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- You may have some experience in an accounting role
- You have some knowledge of NetSuite, SAP, and ERP systems.
- You’re able to visualize the steps needed to reach a goal and can identify problems and develop creative solutions that are beneficial for the organization.
- You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and can collaborate effectively with other finance professionals within the team.
