Job Profile
Tactical Controller position available in Columbus, OH. As a Tactical Controller, you will be responsible for the Tactical Phase of the flight which starts on the first day of operation and ends after the flight has completed all post-flight operations. The Tactical Controller is required to maintain full overview of the whole fleet on a Tactical level by adhering to the required procedures. Rotating schedule - 10 hours each shift, 4 days on, 4 days off.

Your Responsibilities
- Updating and maintaining the daily tactical log
- Movement Control and Flight Tracking and monitoring
- Handling of irregular operations by taking action on and communication delays, diversions, last-minute changes and other irregularities that may potentially affect the schedule.
- Monitoring of crew briefing acknowledgements and making crew activations / wake-up calls as applicable by relevant AOC`s procedures.
- Monitoring ATFM restrictions and Flight re-routing
- Managing Ground arrangements and permits that are pending arrangements for the day of flight, or by nature fall onto the tactical phase of the preparation such as close-out messages, or ETA updates to CBP.
- ATS FPL management and monitoring the weather
Required education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a course of study/major in business, aviation, or operations management; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of an organization
- Knowledge of FARs in regard to Part 91, 121, 125 or 135 airline operations preferred
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and aptitude to learn customized company software programs
- Familiarity with core job competencies including, but not limited to, flight planning, international operations, weather, and ATC
