Johnson Service Group is seeking a Production Planner for an Electronic Manufacturing company in San Jose. The Production Planner is responsible for coordinating production schedules, ensuring material readiness, and supporting on-time delivery. This role acts as a liaison between planning, production, and procurement to maintain efficient operations and meet customer commitments.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and adjust production schedules to meet deadlines and optimize capacity
- Coordinate daily production activities, shipments, and build plans
- Ensure material, tooling, and documentation readiness for scheduled work orders
- Partner with procurement to resolve material shortages and ensure timely delivery
- Analyze production data and reports to support decision-making and performance goals
- Level-load work centers and maintain schedules based on capacity and demand
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address issues impacting delivery and lead times
- Support product lifecycle planning and inventory control activities
- Maintain accurate schedules in planning systems (SAP) and communicate updates as needed
Qualifications
- 0–4 years of experience in production planning or a related field (electronics manufacturing preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (strong Excel skills required)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and reports
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Pay rate starting at $28/hr.
