As the
Freight Operations Manager – South Asia, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of Qantas Group freight operations across the region. This is a highly operational, regionally focused role that sits at the intersection of freight operations, safety, compliance, and stakeholder management, with responsibility for overseeing day‑to‑day freight activity across multiple ports.
You’ll operate with a high level of autonomy while partnering closely with internal teams, Ground Handling Agents, General Sales Agents, and regulatory bodies across South Asia to uphold Qantas Group standards, resolve operational issues, and drive consistent, compliant outcomes.
To Be Successful, You’ll Have
- Strong operational experience within freight, logistics, or aviation with a solid understanding of end‑to‑end operations
- A safety‑first mindset with sound knowledge of compliance, regulatory, and operational requirements in an aviation environment
- Clear and confident communication skills, with fluency in English (written and verbal) and the ability to communicate effectively in Thai, enabling strong engagement with stakeholders across Bangkok and the broader region.
- The ability to work independently and autonomously, while collaborating closely within a small regional team
- Proven capability managing multiple stakeholders, including third‑party ground handlers and local partners
- Strong organisational skills, with experience in reporting, auditing, and operational administration
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage changing priorities across different ports and time zones
