Project Manager, Part 145

Position Summary
Responsible for leading and delivering third-party aircraft maintenance projects under Part 145 from pre-planning through redelivery, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, optimized cost performance, and on-time completion. Serves as the central focal point for Customers, Commercial, and internal stakeholders, aligning operational execution with contractual commitments and service level expectations.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and control aircraft check projects to achieve targeted Turnaround Time (TAT) and ensure on-time aircraft redelivery.
- Drive team performance and accountability, fostering a high-performance culture to meet safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Manage project financial performance, including budget control, cost monitoring, and profitability optimization.
- Ensure regulatory and authority compliance in accordance with Part 145 requirements, including capability review, approvals, and quality assurance adherence.
- Oversee pre-planning activities in collaboration with Production Planning Control (PPC) and cross-functional departments, covering work scope review, capacity planning, manpower allocation, tooling, equipment, and facility readiness.
- Chair daily progress meetings with customers, providing transparent updates on project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Lead daily operational meetings with Check Foreman and support departments to resolve technical and operational issues promptly.
- Review and manage Additional Work Requests (AWR), securing customer approval, assessing commercial impact, and ensuring controlled execution.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain Management (SCM) to ensure timely availability of materials, components, and logistics support.
- Manage customer relationships and service delivery, ensuring expectations are aligned and contractual service levels are achieved.
- Provide timely status reporting to customers and Engineering Management, highlighting progress, risks, financial exposure, and recovery plans.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve project risks and issues proactively to minimize schedule and cost impact.
- Develop and implement recovery plans in collaboration with Section and Department Heads when deviations occur.
- Oversee commercial closure, including billing coordination, validation of “Over & Above” claims, and final account reconciliation.
- Lead post-project reviews (post-mortem analysis) to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications / Areas of Experience
- Holder of aircraft maintenance license acceptable to CAAM and/or Degree in Engineering/Business Administration or other relevant studies.
- Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft and component maintenance management and familiar with regulatory requirements.
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in the airline engineering industry, with 1-2 years’ experience in leadership role in a Part 145 environment
