About the team you are joining
TIM/Timatic has been in existence for over 50 years, helping airlines and other travel-related organizations to verify that passengers have sufficient travel documents. Over the last years IATA has launched a new generation of Timatic solutions which enable airlines to automate this activity. These new products are key enablers in the evolution of passenger self-service.
What your day would be like
Reporting to Head of Timatic and Passenger Experience Solutions, the successful candidate will be responsible
for managing a subset of the Timatic solutions. This includes developing
product strategies for established products to maximize their potential,
developing and executing go to market plans for the new solutions leading to
the penetration of new channels and customer segments. He/she will work closely
with internal stakeholders including other Timatic Product Managers, Timatic
team, IATA Regions, as well as with customers and partners. He/she will work
closely with the Assistant Director Timatic and the Timatic Management team to
help the Timatic vision and strategy.
Responsibilities
▪Develop
and execute Timatic portfolio strategic business plan to secure and grow
Timatic revenue and operating results, and to ensure complete customer
satisfaction
▪Develop
and execute business plans and roadmaps for each of the products in their
portfolio and ensure the business plans and roadmaps are clearly communicated
to internal and external stakeholders.
▪Establish
and maintain excellent relationships with customers and partners
▪Manage
the Timatic products in their portfolio including product development,
marketing, promotion, pricing, and the administration of products.
▪Identify
and develop enhancements to the existing products. Identify and deliver on
potential product and partner opportunities
▪Manage
the development of the new products, including product specifications, vendor
selection, functional and technological development, user testing, and launch
▪Design
and develop marketing and sales campaigns in cooperation with the central
marketing and sales team and support the regional sales in the execution of
these campaigns
▪Identify
and execute product and marketing relationships with industry partners,
including DCS and border management industry solution providers
▪Work
with the Timatic Customer Success Manager, and subject matter experts to ensure
Timatic solutions are developed and provided to the aviation industry meeting
agreed targets and SLAs.
▪Be
a key member of the Timatic management team and provide leadership to the rest
of the Timatic department
▪Work
with support functions including customer service and finance to ensure the
effective day to day delivery of products, including renewals, pricing, and
communications. Provide 2nd and 3rd level customer support
▪Provide
timely financial and operational status reports and other relevant information.
We would love to hear from you if
▪University
degree (Bachelor or Masters) in Business Administration, Marketing, or
equivalent degree
▪Minimum
8 years of experience in product management, business development, or
marketing/sales activities
▪Good
understanding of the airline, airport, and air travel industry key issues and
business economics
▪Expertise
in product development, feature definition and development of innovative
business models
▪Excellent
inter-personal skills and expertise in stakeholder management
▪Excellent
communication skills and expertise in pain point discovery and
customer-oriented approach
▪ Knowledge
of budgetary processes and financial projections
▪ Ability
to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and as
part of a team
▪ Excellent
PC skills, particularly with MS Office programs
▪Excellent
oral and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of other languages
would be an asset.
Travel Required: Y 5%-10%
