Johnson Service Group is looking for an Associate Civil Engineer for one of our clients in San Jose. This person will support these projects by completing a variety of tasks expected to include preparing engineering analyses, engineering designs, calculations, reports, design interpretations, construction contract design clarifications, and support of the construction management team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare engineering analyses, designs, calculations, and technical reports
- Assist with interpretation of design plans, specifications, and construction contract documents
- Provide design clarifications and technical support during construction
- Support construction management staff with documentation, coordination, and field-related tasks
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards
- Assist with project tracking, documentation, and technical review
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering or a related field.
Experience:
Four (4) years of professional engineering experience related to water infrastructure improvements.
Knowledge of:
- Principles, practices, concepts, and standards of project management as applied to the planning, design, cost estimating, construction, installation, and inspection of a wide variety of facilities and infrastructure
- Practices of researching complex issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting effective staff reports
- Principles, practices, theories, and concepts of engineering related to water infrastructure and/or water treatment processes and water quality
6 month contract $57.09/hr.
