The Role
• Understand global customer’s contracts and account plans and ensure local contracts and plans are aligned,
• Working with the Commercial Director and Unit General Manager to ensure local issues are addressed.
• Build and maintain good relationships and communication with customers (internal and external).
• Co-ordinate customer visits to ensure that good customer care is displayed.
• Provide operational support in the daily tasks of the assigned accounts.
• Monitor operational KPIs of the assigned accounts.
• Proactively make proposals for continuous improvement of operational and finance performance.
• Follow-up on customers’ feedback e.g. comments, compliments and complaints, and ensure that any issues are addressed, with preventive measures taken to avoid reoccurrence.
• Implement operational and safety procedures.
• Co-ordinate any operational irregularities such as cancellations, delays etc., with relevant departments and customers to ensure clear communication and necessary information/instructions are conveyed.
• Co-ordinate meal presentations including; assembly of specifications and photo-books, completion of ERP System setup and Catering Service, plus other relevant information. Take notes of the meal presentations and follow-up with relevant departments regarding any changes. Ensure that new proposed menus meet budget requirements and optimize profitability and this is known prior to any presentation.
• Deliver pre and post Menu Presentations customer’s Check Lists, AMC and or other pricing and specifications documents required.
• Conduct internal audits and inventories of customer’s equipment.
• Support invoice processing by reviewing information such as the sales order/s, specifications or loading ratio changes ensuring we are invoicing for all agreed costs.
• Responsible for inputting and updating all relevant and correct data into ERP system, e.g. customer profile, catering service, sales order, special meal table etc.
• Monitor financial KPIs and sales reports of assigned accounts in order to correct deviations and drive corrective measures and action plans.
• Optimize assigned accounts profitability delivering or exceeding budgeted CM1.
• Participate in budget and forecasting processes.
• Support any tender process by ensuring timelines are met and all information is provided to the respective departments.
The Person
- The ideal candidate will be an accomplished professional with at least five years’ management experience in a fast-paced operational environment. Additional requirements include,
• Degree in Economics, BA, Sales and Marketing or related subjects.
• Value experience and working knowledge of the railways or airline catering industry, hotel/catering or other related multimodal passenger’s transport services industry. Customer Experience.
• Knowledge of menu development, food quality and hygiene.
• Computer-literate, good working knowledge of MS Office i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Valuable knowledge of SAP and/or SACS or other ERPs.
• Good pricing and costing experience.
• Good level of numeracy
• Fluency in Spanish and English (minimum B2 according to EU norms.)
