Our client is seeking a
Senior IT Business Process Analyst with electrical utility sector experience to support a major multi-year energy market restructuring program involving new systems implementation, business process optimization, and delivery of best-fit operational solutions.
Must Have skills
- 10+ years of experience in business analysis or a related role, with specific experience in the electrical utility industry.
- Experience supporting major transformation or restructuring initiatives within the energy or utility sector.
- Strong understanding of electrical utility operations, including grid management, asset management, and customer engagement.
- Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements, defining project objectives, and supporting business cases for proposed initiatives.
- Experience managing multiple cross-functional projects to implement new and complex business lines.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and techniques, including SQL, Excel, and data visualization software.
- Familiarity with electrical utility industry standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance obligations.
- Experience with change management principles and methodologies to support stakeholder buy-in.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have skills
- Experience with third-party system implementations and integration with new or existing enterprise systems.
- Experience assisting with SCRUM Master duties.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of business processes, systems, and data within the electrical utility domain.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project objectives, and support development of business cases.
- Support the design, implementation, configuration, and optimization of business processes and systems.
- Identify opportunities for improvement that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Use analytical tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support informed decision-making.
- Provide expertise and guidance on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies in the electrical utility sector.
- Support cross-organizational activities related to the Restructured Energy Market program.
- Contribute to the delivery of new Energy Settlement System and Market Management System capabilities.
- Mentor and support junior staff as required.
- Assist with SCRUM Master duties as required.
