JSG is hiring an Assembler / Soldering in Peabody, MA.
1st shift: 7am-3:30pm
2nd shift: 3pm-11:30pm
Pay rate: $18-$19.50 DOE
Skills:
- 5 years manual and machine assembly experience in connector cable industry
- Experience in reading blueprints and drawings is essential
- Strong math skills, particularly in fractions
- Soldering experience
- Connector and coaxial cable assembly experience a plus
- Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Fasten parts together manually or using hand tools, portable power tools, and related equipment
- Identify completed components by preparing and affixing labels according to specifications
- Assist in preparing shipments by placing components in bags and sealing them
- Ensure quality by examining connections for proper fit and measuring completed components
- Resolve assembly issues by adjusting dimensions to meet specifications and notifying the supervisor to obtain additional resources
- Support quality, cost reduction, and productivity improvements by accurately tracking job time through barcoding or other systems
