Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively seeking Facility Maintenance Tech with 1 years of experience for a long-term contract in California.
Pay: $35
Job Description:
• Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, collecting trash, etc.
• Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls, etc.
• Maintain and inspect electrical circuitry
• Install appliances and equipment
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
• Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
• Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
• Report to a facilities or maintenance manager or general manager for issues
• Install and/or repair heating and refrigeration units
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces
• Perform custodial duties as necessary
• Assist in preparing job estimates as required
• Follow safety policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Must have the ability to pass a background check of 10 years, per airport requirements
• Must have the ability to pass a drug screen prior to start date and at random during employment
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license
• Highly preferred High School or GED diploma
• Highly preferred at least 1 year experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Highly preferred prior facility maintenance experience
• Preferred successful completion of an apprenticeship
• Must have the ability to lift and /or move up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis
• Must read, write, and fluently speak and understand the English language
• Must read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Must write routine correspondence
• Must be able to effectively present information and update status on a one-on-one basis, and at times to a small group such as vendors, contractors, clients, coworkers.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must have basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Must have experience using hand and electrical tools.
• Must have the ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Must have the physical stamina and dexterity for the kind of work described.
