SENIOR ANALYST, FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS (FP&A)
POSITION PURPOSE
Drives financing planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis to support business decision-making across multiple groups within the organization. A Senior Analyst in this position plays a key role in the month-end close process, prepares a summary of monthly financial results, and provides insight on variances vs. prior months and budget and forecast. In addition, the Senior Analyst is expected to help identify process improvements and cost saving opportunities, and participate in ad hoc projects, acting as a financial resource for divisional leaders.

- Prepares accruals and reclasses to ensure accurate financial reporting during month-end close process.
- Leads the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
- Prepares various financial reports summarizing results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Analyzes financial performance versus forecast and budget, investigates variances, and communicates findings and recommendations to unit leadership.
- Identifies process improvements and cost saving opportunities and acts as financial resource for divisional leaders on the planning and execution of strategic initiatives; ensures that key business unit decisions are in line with corporate goals.
- Implements financial modeling improvements to enhance process efficiency, support new initiatives, and accurately capture changing business economics and structure.
- Develops operational, profitability, expense, and other key performance metrics.
- Conducts and supports ad-hoc analysis on issues pertinent to the company.
- Provides training and support for Financial Analysts.
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Accounting, Finance or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3-5 years of related experience in FP&A or financial reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including financial modeling and analysis using Excel.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
