Job Title & Summary
Assistant Manager – DGR Instructor Training
Responsible for delivering DGCA-compliant Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) training, ensuring regulatory adherence, safety standards, and effective learning delivery across ground operations and related functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Dangerous Goods (DGR) training for Ground Crew Customer Service, Security, and Cabin Crew functions.
- Develop and update training materials including presentations, videos, demonstrations, and handouts.
- Prepare and maintain training documentation such as manuals, assessments, attendance records, and certificates.
- Ensure all training content is aligned with DGCA and IATA DGR regulations.
- Assess trainees through written and practical evaluations in a fair and standardized manner.
- Maintain accurate and confidential training records, including participant data, results, and refresher schedules.
- Coordinate with the Learning Support team for result submission and certificate issuance.
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements and regulatory standards.
Required Skills
Technical & Functional Skills:
- Strong knowledge of DGCA & IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR)
- Experience in aviation training / ground operations / customer service training
- Ability to design and deliver structured training programs
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in aviation / training / operations
Certifications (Mandatory – To Be Completed Post-selection)
- IATA DGR Instructor Certification
- DGCA Instructor approval (Interview & Viva clearance)
- Completion of in-house DGR training across functions

Preferred Skills
- Prior experience as a certified DGR Instructor
- Exposure to multi-department training delivery

Education & Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline
- Preference for candidates with Physics & Chemistry at 10+2 level
Certifications / Licenses
- Mandatory (Post-selection): IATA DGR Instructor Certification, DGCA Instructor Approval
- Internal Requirement: Completion of in-house DGR training for all applicable functions
Training & Approval Process
- Completion of in-house DGR training (all functions)
- Successful completion of IATA DGR Instructor course
- Clearance of DGCA interview and viva assessment
- Final confirmation of role subject to DGCA approval
