ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
As Senior Test Analyst, you will ensure the software is verified and validated against the criteria set out in the functional and non- functional specifications, by defining test cases, ensuring their execution and establishing best practices in the team.
You will be accountable for designing, developing, and executing test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Software development, you will be a part of the Baggage Team responsible for Baggage products.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design and develop test cases, test scripts, and test data to effectively validate software functionality. Lead and mentor other test engineers to perform their tasks effectively and thoroughly.
- Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure the software meets the specified requirements.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks, scripts, and tools to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional testing, integration testing, performance testing, and regression testing.
- Identify, analyse, and report software defects, and work closely with the development team to resolve them.
- Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the overall quality of the software.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of software requirements.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to optimize software quality and testing efficiency.
- Actively provide feedback to senior QA management which may result in new working practices or general QA improvements.
- Ensure the software is verified and validated against the criteria set out in the functional and non-functional specifications, by defining test cases, ensuring their execution, and capturing the results.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in a Software Development or Testing environment including experience with current software testing methodologies, functional testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a senior test engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#) for test automation.
- Proficiency in WebDriver or Web driver IO
- Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- ISTQB Foundation qualification or a recognized country-specific qualification is desirable.
- Experience of leading a test team.
- Familiarity with Performance & Security Testing.
