Financial Controller
Our client, a leading architectural structures company is actively searching for a Financial Controller for their Conyers, GA operation. This is a direct hire position and a fantastic opportunity to join a growing industry leader.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees financial activities for two offices.
- Evaluates internal accounting procedures and systems.
- Responsible for training Accounting/Office Managers as required.
- Responsible for prioritizing the activities of the Accounting/Office Managers to provide timely and accurate reports regarding the financial condition of the company.
- Ensures that all sales / use tax filings and other financial related matters, such as annual audits, are performed as needed.
- Assist with any local, state or Federal audits and the interface between the company and external auditors.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in roles such as cost accountant, internal auditor, or senior accountant.
- Experience managing an accounting or office team
- Must be well-versed at handling sales / use tax filings promptly
- Internal and External audit experience
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
- Manufacturing and/or Construction industry experience is a plus
