What will you do as a Baggage Handler?
- Ensure the accurate and timely loading and allocation of baggage from the Bag Hall to the correct aircraft
- Drive our airside vehicles, transporting baggage items to our aircraft, in line with Service Level Agreements.
- Work with our Ramp teams to load the aircraft, on the ramp and inside the aircraft hold, adhering to safety instructions and weight & balance parameters.
- Unload inbound baggage items, ensuring correct distribution onto Baggage Carousels
- Effectively support our operation in times of disruption and delays.
We offer
30 hours per week contracts on a
Fixed Term Contract basis.
This is a
rostered role that requires shift working, so flexibility is required - shift patterns are a rolling shift pattern of 4 shifts on, 2 rest days off . Shifts will include
very early starts, late finishes, working weekends & bank holidays . You will receive you roster
4 weeks in advance.
What skills will I need?
This is a
physically demanding role which involves heavy lifting ( manual handling training will be provided). We are seeking
adaptable, self-motivated individuals with good
time management skills who enjoy working as part of a
team. You must be comfortable working in
confined spaces when loading luggage into our Aircrafts hold.
In order to work safely in an Airside environment and operate our vehicles, candidates must hold a
full UK Driving Licence and be able to pass a Medical, administered by the airport.
