What will you do in the role?
Reporting to the
Senior Powerplant Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our engine fleet.
You Will
- Manage engines through the full shop visit process (scoping, repair and invoice review)
- Develop and maintain a shop visit removal plan
- Support continued airworthiness through timely review of technical documentation
- Oversee engine records reviews and inspections for take-on, lease return or sale
- Build strong relationships with MROs, manufacturers and external stakeholders
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining performance and reliability
- Support safety, reliability and compliance investigations
- Maintain accurate data within AMOS and competency records within ELMS
- Provide updates and reports to Senior Management
- Deputise for Senior Powerplant Engineers as required
What do we need from you?
- Proven experience in Powerplant engineering, including shop visit management (T&M and PBH)
- Strong understanding of engine documentation and technical risk
- Knowledge of engines/APUs operated by Jet2.com or similar
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong external relationships
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office and engine monitoring systems
- Ideally hold an EASA B1 Licence, relevant degree, or equivalent OEM experience
- A collaborative approach with strong attention to detail

- Non-shift role (Monday to Friday)
- Regular travel required, sometimes at short notice
- ATA coverage: 49, 54 (Nacelle), 71–80
