We are looking for an EHS Specialist to support and continuously improve Environmental, Health & Safety standards within a highly regulated industrial environment. This role will play a key part in maintaining compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, and driving environmental and sustainability initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs.
Conduct EHS training sessions, audits, workplace inspections, hazard identification activities, and risk assessments.
Monitor and improve the company’s EHS Management Systems, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 compliance.
Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies on EHS-related matters, inspections, and reporting requirements.
Coordinate environmental and safety measurements, analyse trends, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented.
Assist in the investigation and response to EHS incidents and emergency situations.
Develop and improve tools, procedures, and methodologies related to risk assessment, safe working practices, and environmental performance monitoring.
Assess organisational EHS training needs, develop training content, and coordinate implementation.
Monitor evolving local and international EHS regulations, evaluate operational impacts, and support compliance strategies.
Maintain EHS documentation, records, procedures, and regulatory reports.
Contribute to sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, emissions monitoring, and environmental reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
Postgraduate EHS qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma) are advantageous.
Minimum 2 years of EHS experience within industrial, manufacturing, construction, or similarly regulated environments.
Basic understanding of European EHS regulations, particularly environmental compliance and sustainability requirements.
Knowledge of EHS risk management, hazard identification, auditing processes, and regulatory reporting.
Familiarity with EHS management systems, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
Interest in EHS training, coaching, and promoting a proactive safety culture.
Exposure to environmental reporting, carbon footprint monitoring, GHG reporting, waste reduction, or sustainability projects is desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organisation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to develop clear, practical, and user-friendly procedures and documentation.
English language proficiency at minimum B2 level.
