Job Description:
Responsible for managing the cost, revenue, cash, schedule requirements of a program through all phases from proposal generation and submission to program close-out. The successful candidate ensures that all resources (such as engineering, finance, subcontracts, etc.) are available to support internal and external delivery targets. Candidate is involved in defining deliverables and guiding internal teams. Formulates and executes long-term plans for cost/profit control. Assists Sales team to secure new orders, formulate requirements, and help expedite orders. Works with customers to determine scope, technical and execution requirements and new business opportunities. Directs the work of employees and subcontractors assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas. Support the pursuit of the division’s orders and revenue and cash targets. Candidate will also travel to the business region as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Knowledge of program management methodology and techniques; performance evaluation and change management principles.
- Experience managing programs that include development or system integration, preferably military communication and information systems.
- Ability to lead the preparation and estimation of proposals working across internal organizations and external suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced, dynamic environment; due to customer time-zone differences the position requires flexibility to work on short notice, evenings, weekends and holidays, as needed.
- International travel experience and ability to travel to the Central/Latin America region up to 20% time.
- Proficiency in Spanish language.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience using applications of technical and business principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide solutions to a variety of technical and business problems.
- Requires proficient knowledge of job area (including: proposals, quoting, booking, business planning, export, delivery, acceptance) and practical knowledge of Program Management.
- Experience in supporting international contracts
- Experience working with geographically dispersed and multi-national teams.
- Experience with MS Office suite of tools, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Knowledge of and/or experience with Microsoft Project or other scheduling tools
- Knowledge of international shipping terms and export control regulations; general understanding of export of ITAR controlled materials
- Ability to travel to countries within the business region
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- PMI certification and Earned Value Management experience
- International experience such as living abroad or managing international business
- Knowledge of L3Harris tactical communications products
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont, Washington State and New York State is $89,000 - $165,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
