Job Description:
The Engineering Support L5 practitioner is subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area and in-depth knowledge of project management. Executes large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches. Contributes significantly to improvements in processes, systems, or products. Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results. The Engineering Support L5 practitioner is responsible for supporting and assisting the Chief Engineer in leading and managing Radio Products to deliver solutions aligned to business goals and accomplish the customers’ critical missions, throughout the lifecycle of the product lines. Key Responsibilities include:
- Support and assist Chief Engineer in delivering all products and services in accordance with established capability, cost, schedule, and quality commitments with flawless execution from product conception to end of life.
- Partner with Product Specialist and PLM to facilitate knowledge transfer and support product roadmaps and capability sets that meet the needs of the customers
- Coordinate and support product configurations/set-ups for demonstrations, customer acceptance tests, site engineering, field trials, field testing and other verification and validation activities.
- Build strong relationships and proactive collaborate with operations, engineering and program leadership to support business needs and changes in scope prioritization
- Provide “Voice of the Customer” experience in assisting Chief Engineer on development and roadmap decisions.
- Collaborate with tech pubs team in the creation of user manuals, maintenance guides and whitepapers.
- Develop collaborative relationships with product and program leadership teams
- Share experience and best practices from both inside and outside the organization
- Provide “Voice of Customer” Support for pursuits, technical proposals, Basis of Estimates, and risk assessment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont, Washington State and New York State is $88,000 - $164,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
