What work will you do?
In This Role, You Will
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, dashboards, etc. to support and drive key business decisions
- Discuss analytical requirements and results with different stakeholders on the business side and effectively turn them into data solutions
- Deep dive into large data sets to answer key business questions using a wide range of data analytics tools e.g. SQL, data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, R), web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, Webtrends), and BI solutions
- Explore data to provide insights into future patterns identified from past and current data (both on ad-hoc and on ongoing basis)
- Conception and implementation of data pipelines together with Data Engineers, and conception and implementation of advanced analytics together with Data Scientists
- Continuous appraisal of new technologies and tools regarding their use and benefits, develop business models and manage projects
What skills should you have?
- A Master's or Bachelor's degree in related disciplines or equivalent work experience
- Strong communication and leadership skills; comfortable delivering results to stakeholders and colleagues, and discussing technical concepts with a range of audiences
- Effectively manage (project) stakeholders through expectation management, acting as a point of escalation and positively influencing team dynamics
- Business acumen and business case development
- Experience working with data visualization tools (such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik) and experience in applied statistics, data analysis and data preparation and languages like SAS, R, Python, or SQL.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, business intelligence and big data concepts, tools and terminologies
- Technical curiosity in data, analytical, and machine learning technology
The following skills and experience would also be an asset:
- Strong competence in Data Visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, MS Power BI, R, and RShiny) and structured query languages (e.g. SQL, MDX etc.)
- Strong understanding of agile software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum) and an ability to define and organize work for a team
- Knowledge and experience with big data or cloud technologies such as Hadoop Stack, Azure, GCP, etc.
- Experience in aviation and aerospace
