Position Summary
This position is responsible for serving as a strategic co-pilot to business leadership by translating financial data into actionable insights that drive sustainable growth and operational efficiency. The role integrates deeply within their assigned divisions to align financial planning with broader organizational goals, ensuring robust risk management and the optimization of resource allocation through expert analysis and influential communication.
Key Accountability
- Act as a primary advisor to senior leadership, embedding within operations to understand unique departmental needs and foster high-trust relationships.
- Analyze complex financial datasets to identify emerging trends, potential risks, and strategic opportunities for business expansion or optimization.
- Prepare and present customized financial reports that translate technical accounting data into clear, meaningful narratives for non-finance audiences.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting in close collaboration with department heads to ensure financial targets are realistic and aligned.
- Develop sophisticated financial models and scenario analyses to support long-term strategic decision-making and agility.
- Conduct rigorous monitoring of financial results against budgets, providing detailed variance explanations and recommending corrective actions where necessary.
- Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements to operational efficiency to maximize bottom-line performance.
- Support complex financial structures, including cost allocation and transfer pricing, to ensure accuracy and compliance across various business units.
- Implement and oversee robust internal controls and propose effective mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets and minimize financial exposure.
- Champion financial discipline and best practices across the organization, using data-driven insights to influence key business decisions and policy changes.
Qualification & Working Experience
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, MIA would be an added advantage.
- At least 10 to 14 years of relevant working experience in accounting and finance or any other related field.
