The Logistics Attendant is responsible for warehousing and distribution of aircraft parts and related materials within logistics operation. The Logistics Attendant is also responsible for effective communication with appropriate DMS teams; procurement team, sales team, repair team, Delta team, etc. Distribution & logistics personnel, as well as maintenance.
Job Functions
- Backfill and cover for Lead in area
- Key customer and area contact for their work area. Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's issues and assisting lead in resolving.
- Prepare product or service reports for work area.
- Manage area communications.
- Critical thinking and Interpersonal skills that encourage active listening. The ability to dialogue with peers, as well as multiple levels of departmental, divisional, and executive leadership.
- Handle issues and provide appropriate solutions and alternatives.
- Higher level of system acumen than average supply attendant and called on to accomplish task that are limited to distinct personnel.
- Routine Duties include but are not limited to area responsibilities. Ability to lead their area in support of Leads and management.
- Subject matter expert in designated work area. Called on to lead training as required. Actively involved in user activity testing.
- Assist in creating process and systematic improvements in their areas.
- Must be able to work efficiently and be self-motivated with little or no supervision. Must practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Must have a valid driver's license,
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including fixed or rotating shifts, both indoors and outdoors, include traveling, overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Candidate must also achieve a satisfactory score on entry tests structured to determine ability to perform required tasks.
